Conceptual Imagery

Project 1: “Shape Potential”

Shape Potential is our first project for this class. For this project we choose a paper shape, then we needed to trace it 10 times in different sheets of paper with a colored pen. After tracing the shape 10 times using a pencil we needed to draw unexpected visual connections that we saw with the shape.

With my shape I came up with different connections like a bird, castle, a man, an arrow and others. It was difficult to think what the shape could relate to, but I think at the end the 10 images relate to the shape.

Image Potential In Certain Shapes

Shapes

In the second in class assignment using a square, circle and triangle we had to draw something using each one of the shapes. The shapes needed to be part of the drawing. In the circle I decided to use it as a lime, since the lime is round. For the second shape the square I decided to use is as a post stamp in a letter. Finally for the third shape the triangle I used it as a part of a pattern of squares with different colors and sizes.

Exquisite Corpse

Exquisite Corpse

The first work in class was called “Exquisite Corpse.” The class was divided in group of 3 and each one of us had to draw a different part of the body without knowing what the other team member had. First I started with the head, then without knowing what the other member of my group drew I had to draw the next part of the body and then past it to my other group member. The last part was the legs or bottom part.

It was a fun work in class project, because we did not knew what the head or the torso was and with our own style and imagination drew the next part of the body. The collaboration of 3 peoples art could turn into something weird or something really cool.
